I never had dance lessons as a child. It never came up as an option and I never asked.
I love that my little girl loves dancing. At only just 6 years old she has completed her rosette awards in ballet and tap. Proud mummy alert.
We are currently in the throes of preparing for a dance show. Lessons, rehearsals, photo shoots, costumes, stage make up and hairspray! The diary is chocca and no weekend plans to be had for anyone else until after the big show next weekend.
It may be a busy time for the mummies and dance teachers but I have to say the girls love it. There are lots of them, practising their dances in the lounge, pleased as punch in front of their relatives.
I can’t wait to see my girl on stage under the twinkly lights beaming with pride throughout her routines in her pretty costumes. Cue mummy tears.
She loves to dance, sing and perform. Nothing like me as a child!… and I just love how my little princess lights up any room.
Must dash, the radio is blaring and said 6 year old is awaiting our dance off in the kitchen.
